TWIRLING TREES is the response of a 13-year old girl to the orphan crisis that she saw first-hand during a family mission trip to Kenya. She learned to cut and hand-roll recycled paper into beads, in the same manner as the African women.  The  beads are then seal-coated for durability and shine,  and are used to create unique jewelry and other designs.

This one is the favorite quote of TheCapitol..."May the odds be ever in your favor." Each bead is cut & hand-rolled before it is sealed & strung. "Boldness" Bracelet $ 15.00                Black stone and silver beads are added to large black and white paper beads to make this bold bracelet. Great for dressing up or for wearing jeans and a white tee. This is a stretch bracelet, so it's comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Recycled paper is carefully cut and hand-rolled to make these beautiful beads. The beads are then sealed for durability and shine. This bracelet represents the colors of Kenya...the lush green scenery, the red dirt roads, and the beautiful brown skin of the people of Kenya! Great memories! "Sprouts" Bracelet  $ 15.00                   All proceeds from this bracelet will go to support the new "Sprouts Baby  Home" at Mattaw Children's Village in Kitale, Kenya.  Each of the pieces chosen for this bracelet are symbolic of the mission of the baby home. The white symbolizes the purity of babies. The green reminds me of the new life the babies are given when they are rescued and restored. The wooden beads stand for the simplicity of life in Kenya. The red color of the wooden beads is the same color as the soil in Kenya. So, it symbolizes the "good soil" of Sprouts Baby Home where the children will be loved and nurtured. And the bronze in the beads and the sprout charm are a reminder of the strength that only Christ can give to overcome the difficulties & disappointments  of life and to find joy and contentment in the love of a Heavenly Father.

"Asante Sana" Bracelet $ 10.00                        In Swahili, ASANTE SANA means thank you very much or many thanks. We all have so much to be thankful for. After being in Kenya, I realize that we have such abundance here in America. We have so much...they have so little. Each paper bead in this bracelet is different to symbolize God's many blessings. You may want to give each bead a name of something for which you are grateful. By remembering and thanking God for each "blessing bead", these can become prayer beads.The beads of the ASANTE SANA bracelet are made from recycled scrap paper in a multitude of colors. "Army Strong Mom"  $ 15.00                       Honoring  those who serve in the military and those who wait and pray for them from home. Large camouflage paper beads are offset by wood, metal and green stone spacer beads. The paper beads are cut from camo scrapbook paper. They are then hand-rolled. The "word"  beads have brown print and are made to look like dirt is smudged on them. All the paper beads are given 3 coats of sealer to give them a shiny finish and durability. This makes them water-resistant, but not waterproof. So they should not be submerged in water.  Wear this special bracelet with pride and show your support of the soldiers of the U.S.
